In my pics I captured the shots i thought represent essence of gender through nature and public structures. Yes, males and females both have feminine and masculine qualities, but I took my top pics that symbolize feminine in women and the masculine in men which is seen in everyday life.Through this I explain why it significant to gender.
masculine symbols- downward triangles, ground, stone, and metals, sharp objects, linear objects, etc.
feminine symbols- water, boxes, holes, circles, trees, plants, etc.
1) Flower Bed- feminine but represent the woman aspect in that her womb nurtures life. The womb is seen as the circular stone container holding the flowers.
2) waterfall and stone bed- This represent both genders. The water is the woman which soothes and nurtures calmly around the stone. The stone is the man which declares his position and stands strong gracefully within the water.
3) Stream- the water represent the woman and her femininity. She nurturing to all and is vital key for life to exist. The stream flows gracefully showing the woman's calmness and gentleness.
4) conoco- this represents the male image. The large metal sign shows strength and authority. It also shows the downward triangle which is similar to broad shoulders and thin waist, which is a masculine image.
5) Hole- This represent the woman. Dark circles can be symbolisim for the vagina or womb. I think this a great example because it a shelter, home often nurturing and link to women. So this shows a more feminine woman dipiction.
